Story of Varg
In Old Norse, 'Varg' translates to wolf—a name deeply tied to the mythical beast Fenrir. It’s a fitting title; her original builder envisioned the ultimate Arctic expedition vessel, designed to be a true explorer at sea. Norrøna Varg S/Y, which in 2026 was recognized as one of TIME's Greatest Places to visit.
Interior and Cabins
Varg is refurbished with the same principles as Norrønas overall product development: Design, Quality and Function, with Loaded Minimalism. In our cabins, you will see design elements with equivalent principles, natural materials and scandinavian design classics.
The Crew
Whether a captain, guide or chef aboard Varg, we all share a passion for both outdoor adventures and for creating great experiences for our travellers. We work with the best local guides that will bring you to the best routes and hidden treasures, making every moment unforgettable, in a safe yet adventerous way.
