Getting to the parking lot
Canvas Telemark is located in the highlands of Telemark county. The camp is a 2 km hike or bike ride through the forest from the parking lot.

We'll handle all your luggage from the parking lot, so yoiu can enjoy the journey to the camp.
Driving to Canvas Telemark
Canvas is a 3,5 hour drive from Oslo. Follow the directions on Google Maps. On the gravel section of the last part, please remember to be respectful of the local farmers and follow the speed limit. For large groups, we recommend retning a bus.
Public transportation to Canvas Telemark
Take the train to Gjerstad stasjon from Oslo, Kristiandsand or Stavanger, and take a taxi to the parking lot.

From the parking lot to the camp
By bike
If you are coming with your own bike take a steep gravel road going up, it will be on your right.
By foot – 30 minutes
Take the trail beginning with a wooden bridge to the right from the steep gravel up.
At one point both trails meet. The walking trail has a wooden bridge to connect to the top of gravel, and from there just continue on one, joined trail. The trail will follow to a hanging bridge that you should cross. After the bridge follow the main trail (the wider one) upwards that takes you on top of the open slab rock. You will notice a sign that points to the right, and you need to go left there. In the moment you will see the camp below, and just follow the path down.
