Mountain Biking

Midnight sun riding

Next to Andørja is the small island of Rolla. Mountain biking on Rolla is raw, natural and distinctly Arctic. The trails wind from the coastline into rugged mountain terrain, combining rough singletrack, rocky sections, grassy mountain paths and old access roads.

The riding is physically demanding and technically varied, with steep climbs, sections where bikes may need to be pushed or carried, and challenging natural descents. Above all, it is the setting that makes Rolla special: dramatic mountains rising directly from the sea, deep fjords and huge views across the surrounding islands.

Andørja and Rolla

Andørja is the most mountainous island in Northern Europe. Across the strait from Andørja is the mountain bike heaven of Rolla. And surrounding them, an archipelago of peaks, summits, ridges and hidden gems. Some are relatively accessible. Others only by boat. Our local guides can take you on extraordinary day adventures to some of Northern Norway's most spectacular mountain biking.
